Q.      Why to travel in HRTC buses?

          It is safe and comfortable. You can book the ticket online, at HRTC Booking Counters in advance.

Q.      Registration to book online is necessary (e-ticket)?

Yes, it is necessary to register, only than you can use this facility.

Q.      Does booking online (e-booking) cost me more?
Yes. For e-ticket we charge a 2.5 percent service charges, which are non-refundable in case of cancellation.

Q.      Amount debited but ticket is not booked (Not appearing in the Booking History), what should I do?

          In case your amount has been debited, but ticket does not appear in your booking history then please mail us at hrtc@hrtc.gov.in with details Reference Number generated at the time of booking process, Date of transaction, Name of Card Holder and Amount Debited. The amount debited will be refunded to your credit/debit card.

Q.      Does booking at HRTC Booking Counters cost me more?
No! There is no service charge / reservation charges at the HRTC Booking Counters.

Q.      To Carry ID proof while travelling using E-Ticket is compulsory?  

        Yes, you have to carry the ID Proof while travelling using an E-Ticket otherwise you may be asked to purchase a new ticket.

Q.      Is it mandatory to carry printout of E-Ticket?

        Yes, you have to carry the printout of E-Ticket with you at the time of journey.

Q.      Criteria for Child Fare?

Children less than the age of 5 years ( < 5 years ) are allowed to travel free without providing any seat.

Children of age 5 years or above (>= 5 years) and less than 12 years (< 12 years), half of the fare will be charged.

Q.      What is mode of payments available to book E-Tickets (Online Booking)?

        We have a single payment gateway of HDFC Bank. You can use this payment gateway to pay using:-

i)             Any Banks VISA / MASTER Credit Cards.

ii)         VISA only Debit Cards ( Having CVV number only) of SBI, HDFC, AXIS and Karur Vysya Bank.

Q.      Can someone else use my E-Ticket to travel?

No, Ticket is non-transferable.
